The ultimate destination is the collection of sacred, sky-blue alpine lakes at Gosainkunda (4,380m). Day 1
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. A Himal Trek Nepal representative will meet you at the terminal and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, take time to rest. In the evening, meet your licensed trekking guide for your pre- departure briefing. Sort out gear, finalize last-minute preparations, and ask questions before departure.
Day 2
We pass Your Himalayan adventure begins with a scenic overland drive heading north out of the Kathmandu Valley. The road winds along deep river gorges, passing through local towns, terraced farmlands, and lush green hillsides. As you enter the checkpoint for Langtang National Park, the air crisps up, and you arrive at the mountain district headquarters of Dhunche for your first night in a local teahouse.
Day 3
Lace up your boots for your first official day on the trail. The path starts with a steady, steep uphill climb crossing suspension bridges and entering quiet, deep forests of oak, pine, and blooming rhododendrons. This dense canopy is a known habitat for the endangered Red Panda. The day ends at the peaceful village of Chandan Bari (also called Shin Gompa), where you can visit a famous local Yak Cheese Factory and tour an ancient Buddhist monastery.
Day 4
A truly unforgettable day on the trail. You will break past the alpine tree line into a stark, majestic landscape of high-altitude ridges. As you ascend toward the legendary Laurebina Viewpoint, a jaw-dropping panoramic view unfolds, revealing the snow-capped massifs of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and the distant Annapurna range. Continuing past the ridge, you enter the sacred lake basin and catch your first glimpse of the mystical, icy-blue waters of holy Gosainkunda Lake.
Day 5
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking alpine sunrise reflecting off the glassy surface of the holy lake. Spend your morning exploring the shores of the main lake, viewing the central rock structure associated with Lord Shiva, and discovering surrounding sister lakes like Bhairavkunda and Saraswatikunda. After absorbing the spiritual atmosphere, begin a pleasant, slow descent back along the Laurebina ridge, returning to the comfort of Chandan Bari for a warm meal.
Day 6
Your final day of hiking is a relaxed and easy descent back through the shaded national park forests. Enjoy the rich birdsong, wild forest orchids, and cascading waterfalls as you backtrack toward the valley floor. Arriving back in Dhunche, celebrate the successful completion of your high-altitude trek with your Himal Trek Nepal team, guides, and porters.
Day 7
Drive back to Kathmandu and rest of the day free to relax.

Enjoy your final breakfast in Kathmandu. A Himal Trek Nepal representative will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport exactly three hours before your scheduled flight time, marking the conclusion of your journey.
